As part of our Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy there are certain rules that are to be followed when posting any type of content here at You Scoop it.
Age Requirement: You must be at least 13 years of age to post content here and/or participate in the You Scoop it community.
Type of Content Allowed: Anything that helps to report the news as you see it or to help tell your story. We accept content in the form of text reports, video reports and photographs. In some cases there is news that is not suitable for younger audiences or news that is graphic in nature. If posting content that falls under that category, then please select "Viewer Discretion Advised" when posting said content.
Type of Content NOT Allowed:
- Pornography/Sexually Explicit Material
- Hate Motivated/Racially or Ethnically Offensive Material
- Obscene or Lewd Material
- Material that contains violent images of killing or physical abuse that appear to have been captured solely, or principally, for exploitive, prurient or gratuitous purposes
- Material that advocates dangerous, illegal or predatory activities/acts or poses a reasonable threat to personal or public saftey
- Material that advocates or promotes violent activity in any way
- Material that violates anyone or any type of copyright
Reporting Questionable Content: If you, the user, come across any story or report that you think may be questionable in nature or violates our Terms of Service, Privacy Policy or the rules posted here, then please select 'Flag for Review' on that story or report's page.
External News Sources: If you use any information in your story from another news source, you must give credit to that source when posting your report.
Content Violation If anyone is caught violating these rules, our Terms of Service or our Privacy Policy then these are the steps that will be taken:
- First Violation: Written Warning via Email or Site Message
- Second Violation: 48 hour Account Suspension
- Third Violation: Account Termination with or without Notice
If any content posted is found to be criminal in nature, You Scoop it will notify local and/or federal authorities immediately without notice to person/persons responsible for posting said content.
