Adding Listings and what they are...
A 'Listing' can be a person, place or thing. Before you can review or check-in with someone/somewhere/something, it has to be "listed" in our database. Adding them is easier than getting a glass of milk (Figure 6.1), which is done from 'My Desk'.
Remember, a listing can be a person, place or thing.
Listing people, places and things is so easy...
Figure 6.1
After clicking 'Add Listing' from 'My Desk', a small box will appear and ask you to choose what type of 'Listing' you want to enter (Figure 6.2).
Person, place or thing...
Figure 6.2
Once you select the type of 'Listing', you'll be asked to type in what you're adding (Figure 6.3). As you start typing, a real-time search will begin and show you if it's already been "listed" in our database. If so, then you can start reviewing or checking-in. If not, then 'Create a New Listing' is a button that will appear.

Figure 6.3
Whew! All that's left is adding a 'Listing'. When adding a 'Listing', be sure to include as much information as possible and carefully choose the right type (Figure 6.4).
Location information is very important, where applicable.
We promise, the steps go a lot quicker than reading through them...

Checking-in and what it all means...
A 'Check-in', at You Scoop it, is something you do when you are with a specific person, at a certain place or doing a certain thing (Figure 7.1 & 7.2). For example, you and your Macbook are hanging out at a Starbucks, now you can 'Check-in' there and your friends will know where you are and what you're doing (if you tell them). We use Google Maps and Geolocation to tell us where you are when you 'Check-in'.
You can only 'Check-in' with a person, place or thing once it's been 'Listed'. You can either check-in from 'My Desk' or from a 'Listing'.
Checking-in from 'My Desk'...

We will only ask you for your 'Geolocation' with a person or thing, places assume you're there - so be honest ;)
If you would like us to remember your location, simply check 'Remember for this site'.
Finally, you can 'Check-in'...
